I want to adopt these kittens! What do I do?
Start by completing an adoption interest form!
Don’t stress about the form - it’s just basic info and we’re happy to chat over the phone with potential adopters in regard to specific questions or details.

So what is the adoption process for Smoke and Fluff?
The adoption process isn’t about finding the “perfect” home for these two; we’re just looking for someone who will love them and do their best to keep them safe, healthy and happy.
We’ll look over the completed forms and then Laura will set up a conversation with potential adopters. After having a conversation, we’ll start inviting interested adopters who are a good match over to meet the kittens. Once we find a match, the kittens will head to their new home in early August and we’ll let all the potential adopters know that the kits have been adopted.
We expect that there will be lots of interest and we only wish that we had enough foster kittens for every cat-loving family around!

Is this adoption through a rescue group or shelter? Is there a fee?
Nope! Laura, the foster ‘mom,’ has worked in animal welfare and sheltering and we’re an approved foster home for a local shelter. These two just happened to cross our path (and now yours) and we already had our foster room ready to go at our home in Belmont, MA.
Our family has happily covered the costs of vet visits, medications, etc. while the kittens have been with us. We’ll also be covering the cost of their spay/neuter surgeries, which will be performed the first week of August. The only fee we’ll ask for is a $100 donation to the animal charity of your choice! :)

Do Smoke and Fluff need to be adopted to the same home?
Yes. Kittens this age do better in pairs and you’ll be glad that they have each other for play time when you’d rather be sleeping. Kittens not only benefit from an available playmate, they will help teach other kitten manners like bite inhibition and gentle play.
-
Are they litter box trained?
Yes! But we can’t take any credit. Kittens have a natural inclination to use a litter box that we’ve reinforced with rewards and a good litter box environment. Reach out for more info about reinforcing good liter box habits with growing kittens.

Will you have more foster kittens?
We’ll see! Check out the local shelters during this ‘kitten season.’ If you’re not matched with Smoke and Fluff and are still looking for kittens to adopt, let me know and I’ll keep an eye out for you!
